Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Supplier Quality Engineer / NDT / Casting role based in Rajkot. The role involves managing supplier quality for castings and related metal components, including supplier audits, process reviews, and qualification of recent suppliers. The person in this position will review and interpret technical drawings and specifications, define quality requirements, and ensure supplier compliance with standards and customer expectations.

Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and implementing inspection plans, overseeing NDT activities (such as visual inspection and coordination of advanced NDT methods), monitoring supplier performance, and leading corrective and preventive action initiatives. The role also requires close collaboration with internal engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to improve quality, reduce defects, and support continuous improvement across the supplier base.





Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of casting processes and precision metal components, including foundry practices, metallurgical basics, and process control.
- Experience in supplier quality management, including supplier audits, qualification, performance monitoring, and corrective action handling.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, material specifications, and customer requirements for castings and machined parts.
- Familiarity with NDT principles and techniques (e.g., visual inspection, dye penetrant, radiography, ultrasonic), and coordination with NDT service providers.
- Understanding of quality tools and standards such as SPC, FMEA, PPAP, control plans, root cause analysis (5 Why, Fishbone), and ISO/AS quality systems.
- Proficiency with basic data analysis, reporting, and documentation using standard office and quality software tools.
- Robust communication and collaboration skills to work with suppliers, internal cross-functional teams, and global customers.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Metallurgical Engineering or a related field; relevant experience in casting or metal component manufacturing is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Rajkot, visit supplier locations as needed, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.
