Role & responsibilities

Preferred Experience ISO 9001/IATF 16949, PPAP/APQP, fasteners/metal inserts,

automotive or molding supplier base.

- Manage a portfolio of suppliers for metal inserts, screws, compression limiters, and

similar bought-out parts.
- Manage Supplier Key Performance Indicators supplier rejection rate, on-time delivery

follow-up, closure of corrective actions, audit completion.
- Coordinate purchase order follow-up with suppliers in alignment with planning and

procurement requirements.
- Conduct incoming and in-process inspections at supplier sites and/or internal receiving

points.
- Verify product conformity against drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Drive corrective and preventive actions for rejected or non-conforming material.
- Perform supplier audits, supplier visits, and process follow-ups to monitor capability and

compliance.• Support supplier development initiatives to improve quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
- Maintain records of inspections, supplier performance, NCRs, and corrective actions.
- Work closely with procurement, engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve

issues quickly.




- Travel within India to supplier locations as needed for inspections, escalations, and

development work.
- Supplier quality engineer responsibilities typically include supplier assessments, quality

issue resolution, monitoring supplier performance, and coordinating with cross functional teams.
- Prepare audit and inspection reports.
- Monitoring of all statutory compliance related to Service Tax or vendor TDS/GST and

other related law.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

- 38 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance, or Manufacturing

Quality.
- Valuable understanding of technical drawings, tolerances, gauges, and inspection methods.
- Experience in Molding industry / Tooling / Automotive industry.
- Experience with mechanical components, fasteners, or metal inserts.
- Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings, specifications and use basic inspection

tools.
- Strong communication, negotiation, problem solving, and follow-up skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently within India.
