Job Purpose/ Summary

Responsible for Raw material Inspection Certificate, Sampling of Pipe & Raw Material, Lab Testing & report preparation, preparation of Inspection Certificate, maitaining calibration of Lab equipements/ instruments, making Histograms, compliance to QMS & NABL

The SUP-Lab-SAWH in the Laboratory department plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of raw materials and finished products. This position is responsible for the inspection of raw materials, sampling of pipes, and conducting laboratory tests to prepare detailed reports. The trainee will maintain the calibration of laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring they meet industry standards.

They will also be tasked with creating histograms and ensuring compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS. and National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL. standards. The role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality. The trainee will act as a liaison between different departments, ensuring smooth communication and adherence to the organization's mission and vision.

they will be responsible for preparing various reports for review purposes and ensuring the health and safety of both personnel and equipment. This position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong understanding of quality assurance processes.

Responsibility

Ensure the availability of ThirdParty Inspection TPI before conducting any testing activitiesbrPerform mechanical chemical and NACE testing in accordance with approved Inspection Test Plans ITP and process chartsbrConduct control testing of samples per heat and select sample pipes after completing all NonDestructive Testing NDT as per approved Quality Assurance Plans QAP and sampling plansbrCoordinate with the machine shop to prepare samples ensuring they meet applicable standardsbrInspect incoming raw materials as per Raw Material Test Certificates RMTC and Raw Material Test Data Certificates RMTDC allocate internal numbers and apply color codes for grade identificationbrReview raw material test certificate results for flux and wires according to ASME II C and applicable work instructionsbrPrepare and maintain data and reports for various review purposes including scrap generation coil inspection and testing activity work instructionsbrCompile Management Review Meeting MRM Quality Review Meeting QRM and First Time Right FTR reports for data analysisbrDocument customer complaints and requirements and prepare draft annexures for final pipe release from SAPbrMaintain daily and weekly coil yard status reports and issue lab consumables from the storebrCalibrate all testing instruments and equipment maintaining accurate calibration recordsbrEnsure the use of calibrated instruments for testing and prioritize the safety of manpower at all timesbrMaintain stock of safety equipment and ensure its use by employeesbrFacilitate communication between top management and subordinates ensuring alignment with organizational goalsbrProvide timely reports to upper management and ensure adherence to quality enhancement directives from superiors
