As a substation design engineer, you will be responsible for the design and engineering of EHV/HV substations, preparation of design drawings and technical documents, vendor drawing review, BOQ preparation, technical coordination, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards and project requirements.

Responsibilities

- Design electrical substations (132kV/220kV/400kV/500kV) in accordance with technical specifications, project requirements, and safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Indian standards (e.g., IS 694, IS 2026, IS 3231) and international standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC) in substation design.
- Develop and review technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficient in primary and secondary substation designing
- Prepare detailed engineering designs for substations (AIS/GIS) including layout,



single line diagrams (SLD), and schematics.
- Perform design calculations such as load flow, short circuit, grounding, and protection coordination.
- Should have worked on software like E Tap / CymeDIST/ Dialux
- Assist in the design and layout of electrical substations, including the selection and specification of electrical equipment.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and drawings for substation projects.
- Assist with the review and approval of vendor drawings and equipment specifications.
- Participate in client meetings and resolve technical queries.

Eligibility Criteria

- B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engg.
- 5 - 7 years of experience

Qualifications

- Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (IEEE, IEC, NEC)
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Effective communication and coordination abilities.
- Should have prior working experience in a Power consulting company
