Role Description The Study Abroad Counsellor will work full time in office at the Kottayam office, supporting students through every step of their international education journey. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, understanding students’ academic backgrounds and aspirations, and recommending appropriate courses, institutions, and countries. The role involves guiding students and families through application procedures, documentation, admission requirements, and timelines, as well as offering information on scholarships, visas, and accommodation.





The counsellor will maintain accurate student records, follow up on applications, coordinate with partner institutions, and participate in seminars or promotional events. The position also requires clear communication, professional presentation, and the ability to build trust with students and guardians.

Qualifications

- Strong counseling and advisory skills, with the ability to understand student goals and suggest suitable study abroad options.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills in English and local languages, with confident presentation abilities.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple student cases, documentation, and application deadlines efficiently.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with office software, email, and online application platforms.
- Knowledge of international education systems, admission processes, and scholarships is highly beneficial.
- Prior experience in education consulting, student services, or related fields is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; qualifications in education, counseling, or related areas are preferred.
