We are Hiring: Student Mentor

At One Percent Abroad, we work with ambitious students targeting top universities, competitive research programs, and scholarship opportunities around the world.

We’re looking for a Student Mentor who is highly organised, genuinely enjoys helping students turn their goals into a clear, actionable plan, and is comfortable managing multiple university deadlines and moving parts.

NB: We are currently accepting applications from candidates based in Calicut(kozhikode) only.

? What you’ll be doing

- Build meaningful relationships with students and understand their academic, career, and personal goals
- Guide students through different stages of their study-abroad journey and keep them moving forward
- Evaluate student profiles and identify areas where their academic, extracurricular, or overall application can be strengthened
- Research universities, courses, scholarships, and other opportunities that align with each student’s profile
- Create and manage university and program shortlists based on factors such as profile fit, career goals, competitiveness, and budget
- Track application progress, deadlines, documents, and pending actions
- Review application materials and flag errors, inconsistencies, missing information, or potential concerns
- Coordinate with students and internal teams to ensure applications move smoothly and on time




- Keep students accountable while making the process less overwhelming for them

? Who are we looking for?You could be a excellent fit if you:
- Have a sharp eye for detail
- Enjoy researching, organising information, and solving problems
- Are comfortable working with multiple students, deadlines, and moving parts
- Communicate clearly and confidently in English
- Are empathetic and patient, while also being comfortable holding students accountable
- Are a fresher or have 0–2 years of experience
- Have an interest in higher education, international education, or studying abroad

You don’t need to know everything about studying abroad on Day 1. Curiosity, ownership, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn matter more. ? What you’ll get
