Role: Strategic Sourcing & Supply of Hazardous/Dangerous Chemicals

Location: Khopoli

Candidate should be willing to relocate to nearby location of Khopoli site and kindly note for this role 6 day work week exists

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Strategic Sourcing & SCM Leadership

- Follow sourcing strategies for hazardous/specialty chemicals, solvents, intermediates, catalysts and critical raw materials; establish reliable domestic/international sources for difficult-to-procure and regulated chemicals.
- Create multi-source strategies to minimize disruption and single-source dependency in dialogue/guidance with US-based parent company; lead negotiations, annual contracts, long-term agreements and spot purchases, ensuring best service level.
- Support current product introductions through timely sourcing of specialized chemicals and facilitate procurement of materials from India for the USbased parent company with 100% ownership; maintain vendor creation in ERP and HSN code

Supply Assurance & Risk Management

- Ensure uninterrupted availability of critical chemicals; develop contingency plans for high-risk materials in guidance from Strategy Department.
- Build supplier risk assessment covering regulatory compliance, financial stability/competitive prices, manufacturing capability, EHS performance and supply reliability; maintain strategic inventory and manage emergency procurement during force majeure,



shortages and shutdown risks.

Supplier Development & Vendor Management

- Evaluate, qualify and approve suppliers with QA, EHS and Operations; conduct audits/performance evaluations; establish scorecards for quality, delivery, safety, compliance, responsiveness and commercial performance; lead vendor improvement and development.

Global Exposure & Cross-Border Sourcing of Hazardous Chemicals:

- Own end-to-end cross-border sourcing with overseas manufacturers, exporters and trading houses across China, Middle East, Europe, South-East Asia and USA to build a diversified, resilient global supply base.
- Undertake international travel, plant/vendor visits and supplier audits as required for source qualification, contract negotiation and resolving quality/supply issues at origin.
- Ensure compliance with IMDG, ADR, IATA/ICAO, destination-country regulations such as TSCA, and GHS classification; coordinate with customs/Govt. authorities, GST, freight forwarders, shipping lines and clearing agents for DG documentation, permits and licenses (including NOCs/PESO as applicable).
- Manage global DG logistics partners across sea, air and road; monitor chemical markets, currency, geopolitics and trade-policy changes (tariffs, anti-dumping duties, restrictions) and build mitigation/contingency plans; coordinate with global stakeholders, EHS/DG, US counterpart procurement and Trade Compliance.
