Key Responsibilities

- Material Management

- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials as per purchase orders and delivery challans.

- Ensure secure handling, storage, and preservation of construction materials, tools, and equipment.

- Organize and maintain proper stacking, labeling, and identification of materials.

- Issuance &
- Inventory Control

- Issue materials to site teams based on approved requisitions.

- Maintain accurate records of materials issued and returned.

- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock checks to prevent shortages or excess.

- Documentation &

- Reporting

- Maintain stock registers (manual/electronic) for all incoming and outgoing materials.

- Prepare inventory reports and update stock levels to the project/site manager.

- Report damaged, expired, or excess materials to management for corrective action.

- Coordination &

- Compliance

- Coordinate with procurement, accounts, and site engineers for material requirements.





- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, and audit requirements.

- Assist in physical verification of stock during audits.

- Support Functions

- Monitor the proper use of tools and equipment issued.

- Track return of unused or surplus materials from site.

- Maintain housekeeping and safety standards in the store area.

Qualifications &

- Skills

- Education: Any Degree / Graduate (preferably in Civil/Mechanical/Commerce).

- Experience:

- Store Incharge: 5+ years of experience in stores management within construction projects.

- Store Assistant: 1–3 years of relevant experience.

- Knowledge:

- Construction materials (cement, steel, aggregates, electrical/plumbing items, finishing materials, etc.).

- Storekeeping procedures and inventory control systems.
