Job Title: Story Writing Intern

Location: Hybrid (Once a week in office in HSR, Bangalore)

About the Role

At Orange Sugar, we're building a comfort-first, premium kidswear brand that provides comfortable, functional clothing in modern colours and prints that cater to every aspect of a child’s lifestyle.

In parallel we're building an original story universe for kids (The Teddy Tales) — warm, relatable narratives that turn everyday childhood moments into engaging content. We're looking for a Story Writing Intern to help write and expand our story world for young audiences.

What You'll Do

- Write episode scripts and story outlines based on our existing characters and story world
- Develop age-appropriate (5–8 years) narratives around everyday moments — first day of school, sibling squabbles, bedtime routines, playdates, etc.
- Collaborate with the content team to adapt scripts for video/animated formats
- Brainstorm new story arcs, mini-conflicts,



and character moments that stay true to our established tone and values
- Research trends in children's storytelling and content that resonates with Indian urban families
- Support light editing/proofreading of scripts and dialogue

Qualifications/Requirement

- A student or recent graduate in English, Mass Communication, Animation, Creative Writing, or a related field (or a strong portfolio in lieu of formal background)
- Genuinely enjoys writing for kids — a natural, warm, straightforward storytelling voice
- Familiar with (or excited to learn) episodic/serialized story structure
- Detail-oriented, comfortable with feedback and iteration
- Self-motivated and reliable in a remote/WFH setup — able to meet deadlines with minimal oversight
- Bonus: prior experience with scriptwriting, children's content, or content for animated/YouTube formats
