STORE MANAGER – SUPERMARKETPosition Overview

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Store Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our supermarket. The Store Manager will be responsible for managing staff, inventory, sales, customer service, billing operations, and overall store performance.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations

- Manage daily opening and closing of the store.
- Ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day store operations.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, organization, and proper product display.
- Ensure all products are properly labelled and priced.
- Monitor store equipment and report maintenance requirements.

Inventory & Stock Management

- Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
- Conduct regular stock checks and physical inventory.
- Identify damaged, expired, or slow-moving products.
- Coordinate with suppliers and the purchase team for stock requirements.
- Minimize stock loss, wastage, and pilferage.
- Ensure proper FIFO/FEFO practices are followed.

Staff Management

- Supervise and coordinate supermarket staff.
- Allocate duties and prepare staff schedules.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, and performance.
- Train staff on customer service, product handling, and store procedures.
- Maintain discipline and a positive working setting.

Sales & Customer Service

- Monitor daily sales and work towards achieving sales targets.
- Ensure excellent customer service.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
- Monitor product displays and promotional activities.




- Identify opportunities to improve sales and customer satisfaction.

Cash & Billing Management

- Supervise billing and cash counter operations.
- Ensure proper cash handling and daily cash reconciliation.
- Monitor POS/billing system issues.
- Ensure accurate billing and minimize billing errors.

Reporting & Administration

- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales and stock reports.
- Maintain records of purchases, stock movement, wastage, and damages.
- Monitor store expenses and operational costs.
- Coordinate with management regarding sales, stock, staffing, and operational issues.

Requirements
- Previous experience in supermarket, retail, grocery, or store management preferred.
- Good knowledge of inventory and retail operations.
- Strong leadership and staff-management skills.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Basic computer/POS knowledge.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and work under pressure.
- Honest, responsible, and organized approach to work.
