About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Store Keeper to manage day-to-day store and material-related activities at our clients civil/construction project site in Wakadewadi, Pune.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in construction/site stores management, including material receiving, inspection, storage, issue, stock maintenance, and documentation. The candidate will work closely with the Site Engineer, Project Manager, Purchase Team, Accounts Team, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth availability and control of construction materials.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day operations of the construction site store.
- Receive construction materials from suppliers and verify quantity and basic specifications against purchase orders/challans.
- Maintain proper records of material inward, outward, transfers, returns, and consumption.
- Issue materials to site teams, contractors, and authorized personnel as per approved requirements.
- Maintain accurate stock registers and inventory records.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile physical stock with records.
- Monitor minimum stock levels and coordinate with the purchase/site team for timely replenishment.
- Ensure proper identification, stacking, storage, and preservation of materials.
- Maintain records for materials such as cement, steel, electrical items, plumbing materials, hardware, tools, PPE, consumables, and other construction-related items.
- Track material consumption and identify shortages, excesses, damages, or wastage.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock and material reports as required.
- Maintain proper documentation of delivery challans,



material receipts, issue slips, return notes, and related records.
- Coordinate with vendors, transporters, contractors, and site personnel for material deliveries and dispatches.
- Ensure the store is maintained in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Follow company procedures related to material control, safety, and documentation.
- Support project management and accounts teams during stock audits and material reconciliation.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3 - 10 years of relevant experience as a Store Keeper / Site Store Keeper in the civil construction or infrastructure industry.
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Good understanding of construction materials and site-store operations.
- Experience in maintaining stock registers and material documentation.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and basic computer operations.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and perform stock reconciliation.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently at a construction/project site.
- Honest, disciplined, organized, and responsible approach towards material handling.
- Knowledge of inventory/store management software or ERP systems will be an advantage.
