Role Description The Store Director role at Smiling Rocks is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad.

The Store

Director will oversee daily store operations, including staff supervision, visual merchandising, inventory management, and adherence to brand standards. This role is responsible for driving sales performance, setting targets, and monitoring key metrics to ensure the store meets revenue and customer satisfaction goals.

Director will lead and coach the store team, provide ongoing training, and foster an inclusive, service-oriented environment aligned with the brand’s mission and values. Additional responsibilities include handling customer escalations, coordinating with corporate teams on promotions and product assortments,



and ensuring compliance with operational and ethical guidelines.

Qualifications

- Strong store management and retail operations skills, with experience overseeing daily activities and leading store teams.
- Background in commerce or business, with understanding of retail metrics, budgeting, and reporting.
- Proven sales skills, including target setting, performance tracking, and implementing strategies to increase revenue.
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage complex or sensitive customer interactions.
- Experience in staff training, coaching, and performance development in a retail or customer-facing setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
- Ability to work on-site in Ahmedabad, including weekends and peak retail hours as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Experience in jewelry, luxury retail, or sustainable/ethical brands is an advantage.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical practices, sustainability, and community impact aligned with Smiling Rocks’ values.
