Key Responsibilities:
The role involves tasks including but not limited to -
1. Material Receiving:
- Receive incoming materials against PO, delivery challan, and other relevant documents.
- Check material quantity, part number, description, and physical condition.
- Report shortages, excess quantities, damages, or identification issues to the Store In-charge.
- Coordinate with Quality/Inspection teams for incoming material inspection.
1. Material Identification & Storage:
- Ensure all materials are properly identified with part number, description, batch/lot number, and other required details.
- Store materials in their designated storage locations.
- Follow FIFO/FEFO principles wherever applicable.
- Ensure proper segregation of accepted, rejected, damaged, and pending-inspection materials.
1. Material Issuing:
- Issue materials to Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and other departments against authorized material requests/WBS/production orders.
- Verify part number, quantity, and storage location before issuing material.
- Maintain proper documentation for all material movements.
1. Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate physical stock and system records.
- Support cycle counting and periodic physical inventory activities.
1. SAP / ERP Activities:
- Perform or support GRN, material transfer, issue, return, and other store transactions in SAP/ERP as assigned.
- Verify system stock against physical stock.
- Ensure correct storage location and material code are maintained during transactions.
1. 5S & Safety
- Maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement of the store.
- Ensure materials are stored safely to prevent damage.
- Follow company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Ensure aisles, emergency exits, and fire-fighting equipment remain accessible.
1. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain records of receipts, issues, returns, transfers, and stock counts.
- Maintain proper documentation for traceability of materials.
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience in stores/warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic knowledge of SAP/ERP is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel.
- Good understanding of material identification, storage, and inventory control.
