About the Role

We are looking for an experienced stock controller to manage and control inventory records, stock movement, SKU and product master data, barcode management, batch information, stock reconciliation, and inventory reporting.

The role requires strong attention to detail and hands-on experience in stock handling, inventory management, Excel-based data analysis, and ERP/inventory systems.

Key Responsibilities 1. SKU & Product Code Management

- Create and maintain accurate SKU, product codes, item codes, and inventory master data.
- Ensure each product has a unique and properly structured SKU/code.
- Maintain product master data, including product name, category, pack size, unit, batch information, and other relevant details.
- Avoid duplicate SKU and product codes.
- Update product master data whenever there are changes in product specifications, packaging, or product variants.
- Maintain proper documentation and version control of master data.

2. Product Naming & Master Data
- Create and maintain standardized and unique product names as per company requirements.
- Ensure product names are clear, consistent, and easy to identify in inventory and reporting systems.
- Coordinate with Product Development, Sales, Purchase, Production, and other teams for accurate product information.
- Maintain a centralized and updated product master database.

3. Barcode Creation & Management
- Create and maintain barcodes for new products and product variants.
- Map barcodes accurately with the respective SKU/product codes.
- Verify barcode information before implementation.




- Maintain barcode master records and ensure there are no duplicate or incorrect mappings.
- Coordinate with Production, Packaging, E-commerce, and Operations teams regarding barcode requirements.
- Support barcode-related corrections and system updates.

4. Stock Handling & Inventory Management
- Monitor daily inward, outward, transfer, return, and adjustment transactions.
- Maintain accurate stock records for raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and other inventory.
- Ensure physical stock is properly identified, stored, and organized.
- Monitor stock availability and highlight shortages or excess stock.
- Ensure proper stock movement and documentation.
- Follow FIFO / FEFO principles wherever applicable.
- Monitor stock movement by SKU, batch, product category, and location.

5. Stock Reconciliation
- Conduct regular reconciliation between physical stock and system stock.
- Identify and investigate stock variances and discrepancies.
- Reconcile opening stock, inward quantity, outward quantity, adjustments, and closing stock.
- Perform SKU-wise, batch-wise, and location-wise reconciliation.
- Coordinate with Stores, Production, Purchase, Sales, Accounts, and other relevant teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain proper records of reconciliation and corrective actions.
- Ensure stock records are updated accurately after approved adjustments.

6. Batch Management
- Maintain accurate batch-wise inventory records.
- Record batch numbers, manufacturing dates, expiry dates, quantities, and other relevant information.
- Monitor batch movement and ensure proper stock rotation.
- Identify near-expiry and aging inventory.
- Ensure batch information is correctly reflected in inventory records and reports.
- Coordinate with quality and production teams regarding batch-related issues.

7. Stock Ageing & Dead Stock Management
- Prepare regular stock aging reports.
- Identify slow-moving, non-moving, excess, obsolete, and dead stock.




- Analyze the reasons for stock accumulation.
- Prepare and maintain a dead-stock reduction / liquidation plan in coordination with the concerned departments.
- Track action taken against aging and dead stock.
- Monitor the movement of slow-moving inventory.
- Escalate critical aging and dead-stock concerns to management.

8. Stock Transfer & Movement Control
- Monitor stock transfers between warehouses, stores, production areas, and other locations.
- Ensure all stock movements are properly documented.
- Verify transfer quantities against system records and physical movement.
- Maintain accurate location-wise inventory records.
- Investigate discrepancies in stock transfers and coordinate corrective actions.

9. Inventory Reporting & MIS
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
- Prepare stock availability, stock ageing, dead stock, batch-wise, SKU-wise, and reconciliation reports.
- Provide accurate inventory information to management and concerned departments.
- Maintain inventory dashboards and trackers.
- Highlight unusual stock movements, shortages, excess stock, and discrepancies.
- Ensure all reports are accurate and submitted within the required timelines.

- Automate repetitive inventory reporting wherever possible.
- Combine data from multiple files or sources.
- Identify data inconsistencies

Pay: ₹5,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
