- Job Title: Steel Foreman (Reinforcement / Rebar or Structural Steel)

- Reports To: Site Engineer or Project Manager

- Core Objective: Translate engineering plans into physical steel structures safely, accurately, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities1. Crew & Task Management

- Assign daily targets to steel fixers, welders, or riggers.

- Lead morning safety and planning meetings (toolbox talks).

- Track worker attendance, productivity, and progress.

1. Technical Execution (Rebar / Structural)

- Read and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS).

- Verify rebar cutting, bending, placement, lap lengths, anchorage, and concrete cover blocks.

- Oversee structural steel assembly, alignment, and rigging/welding compliance.

1. Quality & Inspections

- Inspect steel work before consultant/engineer sign-off.

- Resolve discrepancies or material shortages in office.

1. Safety Enforcement

- Ensure mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (helmets, safety harnesses, gloves).

- Maintain clean, hazard-free working zones (especially for work at heights).
