Position Overview

Youll shape the future of a business-critical platform as the technical lead across product engineering and cloud infrastructure. Youll drive the evolution toward a cloud-native, React/Node.js, AI-enabled architecture, while owning architecture end-to-end across backend, frontend, CI/CD, DevOps, and AWS infrastructure.

This role offers the opportunity to influence technical direction, drive modernization, and establish engineering standards across teams.

Heres a breakdown of what youll do (not all of it, just the important stuff)

- Lead the architecture and development of scalable Node.js services and APIs powering a business-critical platform.
- Design and operate AWS infrastructure using AWS CDK and TypeScript to support secure, scalable, multi-workplace deployments.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and up-to-date DevOps practices.
- Drive modernization initiatives including clean architecture, refactoring, and technical debt reduction.
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL and MSSQL solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Build and integrate React and TypeScript applications with backend services and REST APIs.
- Drive cloud, DevOps, and software engineering best practices across teams.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership on complex engineering initiatives.





These are the essentials you’ll need to get an interview

- 8+ years of experience delivering and operating scalable software systems.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Node.js, TypeScript, and modern backend architecture.
- Strong production experience with AWS is mandatory, including services such as EC2/ECS, Lambda, S3, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch.
- Proven experience designing and improving CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Strong experience with React and TypeScript and integrating frontends with backend services and REST APIs.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, clean architecture, design patterns, and distributed systems.
- Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and influencing engineering standards across teams.

It would be great if you had these too, but we’ll support you if you don’t

- Experience with Docker, ECS, GitHub Actions, and observability platforms such as Datadog or Grafana.
- Experience with AWS CDK or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Exposure to cloud security, compliance, FinOps, or multi-account AWS environments.
- Familiarity with AI/ML integrations, such as AWS Bedrock, RAG, or LLM-based applications.
- Experience with AWS serverless architectures and cloud-native modernization.
- Experience shaping AI-enabled, cloud-native architectures.
