Position: ICU Nurse / Staff Nurse – ICU

Department: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Reporting To: Nursing In-charge / Nursing Superintendent

Job Summary The ICU Nurse is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to critically ill patients, monitoring their condition continuously, administering medications and treatments, and assisting doctors during emergency and critical care procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythm, oxygen saturation, and other clinical parameters.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, injections, and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist doctors during emergency procedures, intubation, CPR, and other critical interventions.
- Operate and monitor ventilators, infusion pumps, cardiac monitors, and other ICU equipment.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records, nursing notes, and monitoring charts.
- Identify and immediately report any deterioration in the patient's condition.
- Follow infection-control, medication-safety, and hospital protocols.
- Maintain proper documentation of patient care, medication administration, and handover.
- Ensure proper shift handover and communicate important patient information to the incoming nursing staff.




- Support patients and their attendants with appropriate communication and guidance.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and readiness of the ICU and its equipment.
- Participate in emergency drills, training programs, and quality-improvement activities.

Required Qualification
- B.Sc. Nursing / GNM from a recognized institution.
- Valid nursing registration with the applicable Nursing Council.

Experience
- Experience in ICU/Critical Care preferred.
- Freshers may be considered based on hospital requirements and training capability.

Job Requirements

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
