Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced

SSIS Lead Developer to lead the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise-level ETL and data integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in

SQL Server, SSIS, T-SQL, ETL development, data warehousing, and performance tuning

, along with the ability to lead technical teams and work closely with business and technical stakeholders.

- Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex

ETL solutions using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

.

- Develop and maintain SSIS packages for extracting, transforming, validating, and loading data from multiple sources.

- Design efficient data flows, control flows, transformations, lookups, joins, and error-handling processes

.

- Develop complex

T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers

.

- Analyze and optimize SSIS packages and SQL queries for performance and scalability.

- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of production ETL and data integration issues.

- Monitor scheduled jobs, batch processes, and data pipelines and ensure successful execution.

- Implement logging, auditing, error handling, restartability, and data validation mechanisms.

- Work with data architects and business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.

- Perform code reviews and establish development standards and best practices for SSIS/ETL development.

- Mentor junior and mid-level developers and provide technical guidance to the team.

- Manage deployments of SSIS packages across development, QA, and production environments.

- Work with

SSISDB, SQL Server Agent, SSDT/Visual Studio

, and source-control/deployment processes.

- Prepare technical documentation, ETL specifications, data mappings, and support documentation.

- Participate in release planning, testing, deployment, and production support activities.

- Required Skills

8+ years of experience in

SQL Server / SSIS / ETL development

.





- Strong hands-on experience with

SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

.

- Excellent

T-SQL development skills.

- Strong experience with:

- SSIS Control Flow and Data Flow

- Lookup, Merge, Merge Join, Conditional Split, Derived Column and Aggregate transformations

- Execute SQL Task

- Script Task / Script Component

- Foreach Loop / Sequence Container

- Error handling and logging

- SSIS parameters, variables, configurations and expressions

- Strong knowledge of

SQL Server databases and relational database concepts

.

- Experience with

SQL Server Agent Jobs and scheduling.

- Solid experience in

ETL performance tuning and optimization

.

- Experience with data warehousing concepts such as

Fact/Dimension tables, Star Schema, Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD)

.

- Experience with production support and troubleshooting of enterprise ETL environments.

- Strong understanding of data quality, validation, reconciliation, and error-handling processes.

- Experience with

SSISDB and package deployment

.

- Experience with

Git, Azure DevOps, or other source-control tools

.

- Strong communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with

Azure Data Factory (ADF)

and cloud-based ETL/data integration.

- Experience with

Azure SQL Database / Azure Synapse

.

- Experience migrating on-premises SSIS workloads to Azure.

- Knowledge of

Power BI, SSRS, or SSAS

.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for SSIS deployments.

- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Knowledge of data governance and data security practices.

- Experience working with large-volume enterprise data environments.

- Leadership Requirements

Ability to lead an SSIS/ETL development team.

- Conduct technical design discussions and code reviews.

- Provide estimates and technical solutions for complex requirements.

- Mentor developers and establish coding/development standards.

- Coordinate with project managers, architects, QA teams, DBAs, and business stakeholders.

- Take ownership of technical issues from analysis through resolution.
