Senior Solutions Architect – AWS, Data & AI

About the Role

Avashya is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect – AWS, Data & AI to design and build enterprise-scale cloud, data and AI solutions. This is a hands-on architecture role requiring solid AWS expertise, deep engineering knowledge and the ability to work directly with customer technical teams.

The role requires the ability to engage with CIOs, CTOs, enterprise architects, engineering leaders and business stakeholders to understand complex problems and translate them into scalable AWS-based solutions.

The ideal candidate can go from business/technical requirements to architecture, proof of concept and production-ready implementation, while providing technical leadership to engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and architect highly scalable, secure, resilient and cost-optimized solutions on AWS.
- Lead architecture and implementation of cloud modernization, application migration, microservices, serverless and Kubernetes workloads.
- Design modern data platforms, data lakes, lakehouses, data pipelines, analytics and real-time streaming architectures.
- Architect and implement Generative AI, RAG, AI agents and AI-powered enterprise applications, leveraging Amazon Bedrock and AWS AI services.
- Design integrations across APIs, event-driven architectures, messaging and distributed systems.
- Perform architecture reviews, identify technical risks and define modernization and optimization strategies.
- Build technical POCs and reference implementations to validate architecture decisions.
- Create HLD/LLD, architecture diagrams, technology decisions and implementation guidance.




- Work hands-on with engineering teams to troubleshoot complex architecture, performance, scalability and reliability issues.
- Apply AWS Well-Architected principles across security, reliability, performance, operational excellence and cost optimization.
- Mentor senior engineers and architects and establish reusable architecture patterns and engineering standards.
- Work directly with customer CTOs, architects and engineering teams on complex technical problems.

Required Technical Skills

- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud architecture or technology consulting.
- Strong hands-on expertise across AWS including EKS, ECS, Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS/Aurora, DynamoDB, VPC, API Gateway, CloudFront, Route 53, IAM, KMS, CloudWatch, EventBridge, SQS/SNS and Step Functions.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native, microservices, Kubernetes, serverless, distributed systems, API and event-driven architectures.
- Strong data engineering and architecture experience with S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, EMR, Kinesis and Lake Formation or equivalent technologies.
- Hands-on understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, AI agents and Amazon Bedrock.
- Strong programming experience in at least one language such as Python, Java, Go or Node.js.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, containers and DevOps practices.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, observability,



performance engineering and cost optimization.
- Ability to troubleshoot and deep-dive into complex production systems.
- Excellent architecture documentation and technical communication skills.

AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification is preferred.
