Job Purpose To manage the procurement of raw materials, bought-out components, machining items, fabrication materials, consumables and engineering requirements at the right quality, quantity, price and delivery time.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and process Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO).

- Source materials from approved and new suppliers.

- Obtain and compare supplier quotations and negotiate price, delivery and payment terms.

- Purchase engineering materials such as MS plates, sheets, sections, pipes, fasteners, bearings, electrical items, pneumatic/hydraulic components, tools and consumables.

- Coordinate with Production, Design, Stores, Quality and Accounts for purchase requirements.

- Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.

- Track pending purchase orders and maintain delivery schedules.

- Coordinate with Quality and Stores for material inspection and acceptance.

- Identify alternative suppliers and develop a reliable vendor base.

- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, price, delivery and service.

- Maintain purchase records, quotations,



comparative statements and vendor documents.

- Verify invoices and coordinate with Accounts for payment processing.

- Support cost-reduction and value-engineering initiatives.

- Handle urgent production requirements and ensure minimum procurement delays.

- Maintain proper documentation and follow company purchase procedures.

Required Technical Knowledge

- Basic knowledge of machine manufacturing and fabrication materials.

- Understanding of engineering drawings, specifications and BOMs.

- Knowledge of MS, SS, alloy materials and standard engineering components.

- Basic understanding of machining, fabrication and foundry-related requirements.

- Knowledge of ERP/SAP purchase modules will be an advantage.

- Valuable knowledge of MS Excel and purchase documentation.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
