Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Sr. manager /Manager to lead the procurement function for an aluminium manufacturing setup.

The role will be responsible for strategic sourcing, vendor development, cost optimization, purchase planning, and ensuring timely availability of raw materials and other required items.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the complete purchase and procurement function for the manufacturing unit.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for aluminium raw materials, alloys, billets, consumables, packaging materials, spares, and engineering items. - Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiate price, payment terms, delivery schedules, quality, and commercial terms.
- Monitor market trends and aluminium/raw material prices to support cost-effective procurement.
- Ensure timely availability of materials as per production requirements and inventory norms.
- Develop alternate sources to minimize supply risks and dependency on single vendors.
- Coordinate closely with Production, PPC, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, Finance, and Management.
- Monitor vendor performance, quality issues, delivery commitments, and corrective actions.
- Drive cost reduction, vendor rationalization,



and procurement efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, documentation, and approval processes.
- Manage purchase MIS, supplier records, quotations, comparative statements, purchase orders, and related documentation.
- Handle strategic procurement and critical negotiations with key suppliers.

Required Skills - Strong knowledge of procurement and vendor management in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in aluminium/metal/iron/steel manufacturing or extrusion industry will be preferred.
- Strong negotiation and commercial skills.
- Positive understanding of raw materials, engineering spares, consumables, and inventory management.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a purchase team and multiple suppliers.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/SAP.

Qualification MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain/Materials Management or

BE/B.Tech with relevant procurement experience. Preferred Experience Candidates from Manufacturing, Metal, Engineering, or similar manufacturing industries will be preferred.

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
