Sr.Production Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Plan, monitor, and execute daily production activities to achieve production targets.

Ensure adherence to production schedules and support monthly production planning.

Monitor shop floor operations for smooth production flow and timely job completion.

Ensure production follows approved drawings, specifications, process plans, and quality standards.

Minimize rework and rejection through effective manufacturing and quality practices.

Optimize utilization of manpower, machines, tools, and production resources.

Improve productivity and reduce machine downtime through continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure correct manufacturing processes and sequences are followed.

Participate in process improvement projects, including Cp/Cpk studies and manufacturing optimization.

Support the development of jigs, fixtures, tools, and production aids.

Coordinate with Stores, Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Purchase, and other departments to ensure uninterrupted production.





Follow up with subcontractors for timely receipt of outsourced components and services.

Resolve day-to-day shop floor issues and escalate critical concerns when required.

Maintain production records, ERP/MIS data, and daily production reports.

Ensure compliance with IMS documentation, SOPs, safety standards, and 5S practices.

Support employee training, skill development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Perform additional production-related responsibilities assigned by management.

Achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.

Product quality with minimum rejection and rework.

Effective utilization of manpower and manufacturing resources.

Improved productivity and operational efficiency.

Compliance with IMS, safety, and statutory requirements.

Knowledge of fabrication, machining, production planning, ERP/MIS, quality systems, and Lean Manufacturing/5S will be an added advantage.

Solid analytical, communication, and team coordination skills.
