Job Profile: Sr. Manager / AGM – Contract Administration & Claims (From core construction company)

· Experience: 12 to 17 Years (Specialized in Post-Award & Claims)

· Department: Contracts Management

· Core Focus: Protecting commercial and contractual interest of organization, contract enforcement and dispute resolution.

· Role Summary A highly specialized role responsible for safeguarding the organization’s contractual, financial and legal interests during project execution. This leader will drive the contract administration strategy, masterfully handle day to day contract administration, Extension of Time (EoT) and prolongation claims, and lead dispute resolution and arbitration proceedings to minimize legal and financial exposure.

Key Responsibilities

1. Contract Administration & Risk Management

· Contract Interpretation: Advise project teams on rights, liabilities, and remedy windows.

· Contractual Correspondence: Draft and issue robust notices, default letters,



and formal time bound responses to preserve the company’s position.

· Variation Management: Validate and process contract variations and scope changes strictly per contractual terms.

2. Extension of Time (EoT) & Claims Management

· Delay Analysis & EoT Preparation: Analyze project delays (using Critical Path/Forensic Delay analysis) to draft, substantiate, and submit robust Extension of Time (EoT) claims.

· Claims Quantification: Partner with planning and finance teams to calculate and claim prolongation, disruption, acceleration costs, and price escalations.

· Defensive Claims: Critically analyze, counter, and defend the organization against liquidated damages (LDs) or counterclaims raised by the other party.

3. Dispute Resolution & Closeout

· Dispute Resolution & ADR: Lead arbitration, mediation, and conciliation proceedings to resolve conflicts.

· Settlement & Closeout: Negotiate commercial settlements and manage final contract closeout (reconciliations, no-claim certificates, and release of bank guarantees).

· Critical Competency: Exceptional drafting and interpretation skills and deep expertise in delay analysis methodologies to prove or disprove complex EoT and prolongation claims.

4. Candidate Profile

· Education: B.Tech/B.E (Civil) with Post-Graduate degree in Construction Management (M.Tech/NICMAR 2 years) are highly preferred.

· Key Skills: Deep knowledge of standard contract suites (e.g., CPWD/MoRTH/Metro/FIDIC), arbitration laws, delay analysis and claim management.
