Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Test Engineer with 5+ years of experience in frontend application testing, automation, and CI/CD. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Cypress , JavaScript/TypeScript, UI automation, API testing, and integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines .

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automated frontend test frameworks using Cypress .

- Create robust and reusable test scripts for web applications across different browsers and environments.

- Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end (E2E) testing .

- Analyze application requirements and prepare comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and automation strategies .

- Integrate Cypress automation suites with CI/CD pipelines .

- Configure and maintain automated test execution through tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps .

- Execute automated tests as part of build and deployment pipelines and analyze failures.

- Perform API testing and validate backend responses using appropriate tools/frameworks.

- Identify, document, track, and troubleshoot defects in collaboration with development teams.

- Work closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams in an Agile/Scrum environment .

- Implement effective test data management and environment configuration for automation.

- Improve test execution speed, stability, reliability, and overall automation coverage.

- Participate in code reviews and follow automation coding standards and best practices.

- Monitor CI/CD test results and investigate flaky or intermittent test cases.





- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, automation frameworks, and release quality.

Required Skills

- 5+ years of experience in Software Testing / QA Automation .

- Strong hands-on experience with Cypress .

- Strong programming/scripting knowledge in JavaScript or TypeScript .

- Valuable understanding of frontend/web application testing .

- Experience in developing and maintaining UI automation frameworks .

- Strong knowledge of:

- Functional Testing

- Regression Testing

- Smoke Testing

- End-to-End Testing

- Cross-browser Testing

- API Testing

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines .

- Experience with one or more:

- Jenkins

- GitHub Actions

- GitLab CI/CD

- Azure DevOps

- Good knowledge of Git/GitHub/GitLab and version-control practices.

- Experience working with REST APIs and tools such as Postman.

- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies .

- Good defect tracking and test management experience.

Good to Have

- Experience with Playwright, Selenium, or WebdriverIO .

- Knowledge of Docker and containerized test execution .

- Experience with cloud-based test execution platforms.

- Knowledge of Node.js and npm .

- Experience with test reporting tools such as Allure .

- Knowledge of performance testing or basic security testing.

- Experience testing applications deployed on AWS/Azure/GCP .

- Exposure to BDD frameworks and practices.
