Experience on Handling the different commodities viz .MS, CU, AL An R&D; Purchase Engineer for an Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) High Voltage Circuit Breaker division bridges design engineering and global supply chains. They source specialized raw materials, metallic sub-assemblies, and testing components, ensuring prototype parts meet strict high-voltage standards (IEC/IEEE) while driving cost optimization and vendor localization.

1. Technical Sourcing: Translate R&D; drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), and specifications into accurate RFQs for high-voltage breaker parts. 2. Vendor Development: Identify, audit,



and onboard specialized suppliers capable of manufacturing high-tolerance mechanical assemblies and electrical components. 3. Cost & Contract Negotiation: Drive cost reduction, manage prototype pricing, and establish favorable terms for development batches. 4.Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with R&D; design teams, quality control, and manufacturing to test and validate new parts. 5. Compliance Management: Ensure all procured materials meet relevant international standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE) and local regulatory frameworks.
