As an IR & PER professional key role is to maintain harmonious relationships within the plant and amongst the employees by handling grievances, conflicts, and disputes in a fair and effective manner. Monitoring and addressing employee welfare concerns, ensuring fair treatment, and promoting employee wellbeing. Staying in line with latest amendments in labour laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure the organization's practices are legally complied.
Liasoning, building and maintaining positive relationships with government officials, regulatory agencies, and other relevant authorities. Facilitating effective communication between management and employees, ensuring transparency and clarity in policies, procedures, and organizational changes.
Overall, an IR & ER professional plays a crucial role in promoting positive employee relations, maintaining compliance with labour laws, and fostering a productive and harmonious workplace environment.

Key Areas
Handling IR Issues
Responsible for handling overall IR issues & related work of the Kheda Plant.
Maintaining harmony by addressing concerns and grievances of the employees.
Bridge between management and employees to maintain healthy work environment in the organization.

Disciplinary Proceedings
Handle end to end disciplinary procedure.
Preliminary enquiry, gathering evidence, calling letters, show cause/charge sheets, organize domestic enquiry, manage enquiry setup, produce evidence, take actions as per finding reports such as Advisory letter, warning letter, hold increment, demotion, suspension order, dismissal etc.
Co-ordination with Enquiry Officer for completion of enquiry & future course of actions.
Co-ordination and seeking support from Company Lawyers for actions to be taken against guilty employees.
Proposal and recommendation to the management and further course of action.
Positive Employee Relations (8 point approach)
Communication & Employee Connect- Conducting Voice Meeting, Chai Pe Charcha where top management addresses shop floor employees concerns & suggestions. Lunch with Focus Groups.
Floating important communications through social media groups and other relevant sources.
Progression & Growth- Career Progression of Shop Floor Employees via providing opportunities to shop floor employees for supervisor/engineer grades and NAPS for on-roll positions.
Preparation and update a pool of talent people through internal work assessments, written test and interviews.
Family Connect- Invite contents from the employees, preparation of other business and company leadership contents and publish Abhivyakti’ a quarterly magazine for shop floor employees in
Hindi.
Learning & Development- Planning in coordination with training teams for nominations of participants and facilitating in arrangements.
Recreation & Welfare- Support in Sports activities, Festival Celebrations, Various internal competitions, Annual Family Day & cultural activities, welfare through renowned welfare policies
& practices.
Employee Engagement- Engage and involve shop floor teammates in various committees like,
Canteen, Transport, Sport, Leave Bank etc.
Grievance Redressal & Counselling- Counselling to the employees on account of absenteeism,
misconduct, behavior at shop floor, also addressing their concern and grievances. Counselling to employees through external agencies also (Bridgemitra).
Reward & Recognition- Key member in execution of Hamari Kahani Award Program for shop floor employees of Kheda.119 individual nominations & 70 group nominations last time from Kheda.
Smart Scholar Program for employees’ children and spouse,
Spot Award to recognize good work of the employees. Distributed 340 spot awards so far in 2024.

Statutory Compliances, Audits & Inspections
Monitoring and maintaining statutory compliances under all applicable industrial and labour laws.
Submit periodic statutory returns before the due date to the respective controlling authority
Maintaining registers and records as per statute with the support of compliance software.
Update compliance record in the compliance module/software.
Managing and closing inspection conducted by the government authorities.
Appearance for internal audits, produce required data and record for checking to auditor.

Provide compliance with details and data to internal and external stakeholders including OEMs.
All communication & reply to the notices issued by the labour office etc.
Court Cases and disputes resolution
Attaining Court hearings pending before the Labour Court, Industrial Court and High Court.
Coordinate with lawyers.
Preparing reply’s, witnesses, citations etc. preparations in loop with the advocate to strengthen the case.
Maintain tracker i.e. keeping track of all court cases pending before various courts.
Updating management about the developments and further action plan post attending cases at scheduled dates.
Full & Final settlements (Court case settlements).

Attend the conciliation seatings before Labour Offices.
Liasoning with Government Authorities
Visits & Liaisoning with Labour Office, Labour Court, Industrial Court, High Court, MP Welfare
Board, Police Station, SDM Office, Collector Office, Labour Commissioner Office etc. Keep good relations with all.
Certifying registrations and licenses, close show cause notices/inspection remarks, provide information requested from the departments, etc.
Keep good relations with delegates of nearby industries.
Contract Labour Management
Ensure availability of manpower as per budget & requirement to the plant.
Managing the financial aspects related to contract labour, including monthly invoicing, budgeting,
cost control, and ensuring payments are made in accordance with contractual & statute terms.
Compliance checking and monitoring. Eg. PF challan, ESIC challan, Licenses, agreements, RC etc.
Monitoring the contract workforce through Real Time Compliance Monitoring System (Scrum
Attendance system)
Contractors’ evaluation for overall performance, capabilities to provide manpower, handling the labour issues and compliance with legal and safety standards.
Rate fixation and guidance to other functions for negotiation and support to sign POs &
Agreements.
NAPS Management
Ramp-up NAPS manpower as per budget defined by the PPC and concern department.
Ensure compliance under Apprenticeship Act, 1961
Arrange recruitment drive, interviews, and selection as per process defined and approved by the management.
Joining formalities and induction training to all new joiners under NAPS.

Responsible for NAPS overall work life cycle. To handle their issues, concern & grievances effectively.
Gender Diversity
Ensure increasing gender diversity on the shop floor as per decided plan by the management.
Recruitment plan of female under NAPS.

Employee Group party bills checking, voucher creation & reimbursement as per policy.
Drafting of communication to the employees through circulars and flyers as & when required.
Planning and execution of annual shift calendar for employees.
Conduct survey for plant employees- Excellent Place to Work, BSEMIA Employee Engagement survey etc.
D, E & I training to shopfloor employees, facilitated 9+ online sessions of NM staff covering 806
employees to foster sense of responsibility towards diversity.
OB & MTP budget- Working on outsource budget of 22 Cr., other legal, child subsidy and court related budget working.
Monthly MIS data to internal stakeholders.
Settlement of Insurance claims in case of employee death, partial or total disablement like Group Term
Insurance, Group Personal Accident, WC act etc.
Global/ Region/ Local Initiatives
- Participate in Region conferences, and special projects, where required
- Prepare and submit reporting requirements and needs when required

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Qualification: Graduate in any stream; Postgraduation: Preferably MSW or MBA – HR and preferably should
have a degree or diploma in Law.
- Experience: 7 to 10 yrs preferably in manufacturing set-up handling primarily IR activities.
- Strong leadership abilities to direct and manage teams, including the ability to identify talent, build teams,
mentor and develop team members, and inspire performance that exceeds expectations
- A role model, “hands-on” leader to collaborate effectively across all cultures and levels
