- Prepare and review detailed project schedules in coordination with project teams.
- Develop Baseline Programme, Revised Programme and Recovery Programme as required.
- Monitor planned vs. actual progress and identify delays, critical activities and slippages.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and management MIS.
- Track project milestones, major activities and key deliverables.
- Coordinate with site/project teams for collection and validation of progress data.
- Analyse delays and prepare delay reports with reasons and corrective action plans.
- Monitor resource deployment and productivity against planned targets.
- Prepare S-Curves, Progress Curves, DPR/WPR/MPR and other planning reports.
- Support project teams in preparation of look-ahead programmes and action plans.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Execution and Commercial teams for programme updates.
B. Quantity Surveying
- Review drawings, BOQs, specifications and contract documents.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and detailed quantity estimates.
- Verify quantities executed at site against drawings, BOQ and approved measurements.
- Check and certify subcontractor/vendor measurements and bills.
- Prepare RA Bills, Final Bills and Quantity Reconciliation Statements.
- Monitor BOQ quantities against actual consumption/execution.
- Identify quantity variations and prepare variation statements.
- Maintain records of extra items, substituted items and deviation quantities.
- Assist in preparation of rate analysis for extra/deviation items.
- Verify material reconciliation and consumption against theoretical requirements.
- Support preparation of project cost estimates and budget requirements.
C. Cost & Commercial Monitoring
- Monitor project budget versus actual expenditure.
- Prepare cost-to-complete and forecast reports.
- Analyse quantity and cost variations.
- Monitor subcontractor packages and commercial commitments.
- Assist in preparation and evaluation of Change Orders / Variation Orders.
- Support contract administration and commercial correspondence.
- Review client/subcontractor claims and supporting documents.
- Maintain proper documentation for audit and management review.
D. Head Office MIS & Management Reporting
- Prepare consolidated project-wise planning and QS MIS.
- Provide management with regular updates on:
- Planned vs. Actual Progress
- Billing vs. Collection
- BOQ vs. Executed Quantity
- Cost vs. Budget
- Variations
- Pending Bills
- Subcontractor Status
- Project Forecast
- Prepare presentations and dashboards for management review meetings.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely submission of reports and data.
E. Coordination
- Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Site Engineers, QS/Planning Engineers and Commercial Teams.
- Coordinate with Finance, Procurement and Contracts departments at Head Office.
- Participate in project review meetings and provide planning/QS inputs.
- Follow up with project teams for pending measurements, bills, quantities and progress data.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Planning & Quantity Surveying.
- Good understanding of Civil Engineering drawings, BOQ and specifications.
- Experience in project scheduling and progress monitoring.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and preparation of MIS reports.
- Working knowledge of MS Project / Primavera P6 preferred.
- Knowledge of quantity take-off and rate analysis.
- Knowledge of RA Bills, final bills and quantity reconciliation.
- Understanding of variation, extra items and deviation statements.
- Knowledge of construction contracts and commercial procedures.
- Ability to analyse project data and prepare management reports.
Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in Infrastructure / EPC / Building Government Projects will be preferred.
