Sr. AI/ML Engineer

We are looking for a Senior AI/ML Engineer with 10+ years of software engineering experience and strong expertise across Agentic AI, full-stack development, backend engineering, cloud, DevOps, and enterprise applications. The candidate will contribute to AI-driven software development lifecycle initiatives and work as part of a POD leveraging Agentic AI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and integrate Agentic AI agents to support software development lifecycle activities.
- Contribute to POD-based engineering teams leveraging AI agents and GenAI tools to improve software development productivity.
- Develop and maintain scalable backend applications, APIs, microservices, and UI components.
- Work across frontend technologies including Angular or React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Develop backend solutions using Java/J2EE, Spring Core, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, REST APIs, and Microservices.
- Work with Next.js and UI widgets as required.
- Develop and integrate APIs using REST and GraphQL.
- Write and optimize SQL queries and work with MySQL databases.
- Perform application monitoring, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and debugging using Splunk, Azure KQL, Grafana, and Dynatrace.
- Develop and deploy applications using Azure, OpenShift, and AKS.
- Work with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Artifactory, and Docker as part of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, development, code reviews, and delivery activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable enterprise solutions.

Required Skills

- 10+ years of software development/programming experience.
- Hands-on experience building Agentic AI agents and AI-enabled software development solutions.
- Strong experience with Angular or React.




- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Strong backend development experience with Java/J2EE.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Core, Spring Boot, and/or Spring Batch.
- Strong experience with REST APIs and Microservices.
- Experience with Next.js and UI Widgets.
- Experience with SQL and GraphQL.
- Solid analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
- Experience with monitoring/debugging tools such as Splunk, Azure KQL, Grafana, or Dynatrace.
- Cloud experience with Azure, OpenShift, and AKS.
- DevOps experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Artifactory, and Docker.
- Hands-on experience with MySQL.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Healthcare Domain Preferred Prior experience in the Healthcare/Health Insurance domain is preferred, particularly in:

- Utilization Management
- Prior Authorization
- Care Management
- Optum Clinical Manager

Enterprise AI Skills All contractor resources are expected to demonstrate baseline proficiency in enterprise-approved AI tools as part of their day-to-day responsibilities.

The role requires:

- Consistent AI Usage: Maintain approximately 90% weekly usage of approved AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and other enterprise-approved GenAI platforms.
- Applied Productivity: Use AI tools to enhance coding, documentation, data analysis, troubleshooting, and decision-making workflows.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with evolving AI capabilities and apply relevant AI features to improve delivery quality, productivity, and engineering velocity.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Strong combination of AI/Agentic AI + Full Stack + Backend + Cloud/DevOps experience.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Healthcare domain experience is an added advantage.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
