Megamet is one of India's largest distributors of sawn timber, based in Nariman Point, Mumbai. The company is engaged in the import, distribution, and supply of quality timber products.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Accountant with 3–4 years of relevant experience to manage day to-day accounting activities, company accounts, banking coordination, and financial documentation. The candidate will also be responsible for coordinating with internal teams and managing accounting-related follow-ups to ensure smooth financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting and financial transactions.
- Maintain and monitor company accounts, ledgers, and financial records. - Handle bank-related activities and coordinate with banking teams.
- Prepare and maintain invoices, payments, receipts, and other accounting documents.
- Monitor outstanding payments and ensure timely follow-ups.
- Perform bank reconciliation and account reconciliation.
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, customers, and external stakeholders on accounting matters.
- Ensure timely completion of accounting-related tasks and follow-ups.




- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Prepare regular accounting reports and provide updates to management.
- Supervise and coordinate with the accounts team, wherever required.
- Ensure all accounting activities are completed accurately and within timelines. Required

Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in accounting/accounts management or a similar role.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and day-to-day accounting processes.
- Proficiency in Tally and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Good understanding of banking transactions and reconciliations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good follow-up and coordination skills.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
