Role Descriptions: Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments| from development to mission-critical production systems.Configure and maintain database servers and processes| including monitoring of system health and performance| to ensure high levels of performance| availability| and security.Apply data modelling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectationsIndependently analyse| solve| and correct issues in real time| providing problem resolution end-to-end.Refine and automate regular processes| track issues| and document changesAssist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.Maintain database security procedures.Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of databases.Resolve any database issues in accurate and timely fashion.Monitor databases regularly to check for any errors such as existing locks and failed updates.Knowledge of Upgrades| High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL ServerManage database logins and permissions for users.Experience working with Windows server| including Active DirectoryAbility to organize and plan work independentlyShould be willing to work in cross-skilled DB technologies.
Essential Skills: SQL Database administrator with expertise in Upgrades| fail-over and high availability mechanism like HADR and TSA using DNS . Positive-to-Have AWS or GCP Background
