About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Developer with a solid understanding of database administration fundamentals to join our dynamic team at L&T; Technology Services. This role is pivotal in supporting our cloud-based technology projects by designing, developing, and maintaining robust SQL Server databases. The ideal candidate will have over six years of experience in writing complex DDL and DML queries, analyzing query plans for performance optimization, and ensuring high data integrity and security.

You will collaborate closely with development teams to enhance application performance, troubleshoot database issues, and implement best practices in database design and management. Qualifications

- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in SQL development and database administration.
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures,



functions, triggers, and views.
- Strong understanding of SQL Server architecture, including indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience in analyzing query execution plans and implementing performance improvements.
- Knowledge of database security principles, including user authentication and authorization, particularly in Azure Directory and SQL Server environments.
- Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services related to database management.
- Familiarity with database documentation standards and best practices.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control tools such as Git.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable SQL Server databases aligned with project requirements.
- Optimize database performance by analyzing query plans, indexing strategies, and implementing necessary improvements.
- Develop and implement database objects such as schemas, tables, views, functions, stored procedures, and dictionaries.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation for database systems, including design, configuration, and operational procedures.
- Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues, applying corrective measures as needed.
- Manage user authentication and authorization processes, ensuring secure access via Azure Directory and SQL Server permissions.




- Collaborate with application developers and system administrators to support application performance and stability.
- Implement best practices for database design, development, and maintenance activities.
- Manage index maintenance tasks, including creation, rebuilding, and statistics updates to enhance performance.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
