Role description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead with strong expertise in Fluent Commerce OMS, Java, Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture, and AWS Cloud. The ideal candidate will lead the design and development of scalable order management solutions, provide technical guidance to engineering teams, collaborate with business stakeholders, and drive architecture and delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and implementation of solutions on the Fluent Commerce Order Management System (OMS) platform. Provide technical leadership for distributed development teams and mentor engineers on best practices. Design scalable, secure, and highly available applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture. Define solution architecture, integration patterns, and system design for enterprise commerce ecosystems. Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Lead technical discussions, code reviews, estimations, and release planning activities. Design and implement integrations between Fluent Commerce, eCommerce platforms, ERP, payment, logistics, and third-party systems. Ensure adherence to coding standards, architecture guidelines, and security best practices. Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform RCA, and provide long-term solutions. Contribute to performance tuning, scalability improvements, and cloud optimization initiatives.

Required Skills Fluent Commerce Strong hands-on experience with Fluent Commerce OMS. Deep understanding of Fluent Rules, Workflows, Events, APIs, Retail Order Management, and Inventory Management.

Experience in Fluent OMS solution design, customization, and implementation.

Backend Development

Strong experience in Java 8/11/17 . Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, JPA/Hibernate.

Experience developing RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures.



Architecture & Design Solid knowledge of Microservices Architecture.

Experience with architecture patterns, distributed systems, scalability, resilience, and performance optimization. Knowledge of API Gateway, service orchestration, and asynchronous messaging patterns. Cloud & DevOps Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, and API Gateway.

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code. Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools. Database & Integration Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases. Strong understanding of integration patterns and messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent.

Leadership Expectations

Lead and mentor a team of developers. Drive technical decision-making and engineering best practices. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and business teams. Participate in architecture reviews and strategic technical planning. Ensure delivery quality, timelines, and operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications Experience in Retail, eCommerce, Order Management, or Supply Chain domains. Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.

Fluent

Commerce certifications are a plus.

Experience in large-scale cloud-native commerce transformations.
