Job Summary

As a Space Merchandising Specialist you will help build and shape the merchandising capabilities for vidaXL's new Furniture, Home Garden retail stores in the Netherlands.

You own replenishment planning, inventory management, planogram execution, and merchandising analytics to ensure the right products are available in the right quantities and positioned in the right space. Working closely with Supply Chain, Category, Retail Operations, Marketing, and other stakeholders, you turn data and commercial insights into actions that improve product availability, sales, and inventory productivity.

This is a new and foundational role, ideal for someone who enjoys building processes from scratch, solving problems with imperfect data, and translating an online assortment and brand into a successful physical-store experience.

You will

- Own end-to-end replenishment planning and execution across Netherlands stores
- Maintain optimal stock levels and high product availability across the core assortment
- Analyse sales, stock movement, availability, sell-through, and ageing inventory to identify risks and opportunities
- Create, update, and maintain planograms and store layouts, ensuring strong implementation and compliance
- Own assortment depth, space allocation, and replenishment recommendations for stores
- Continuously optimize assortment, space, and stock based on store and category performance
- Support new store openings by ensuring merchandising, stock, and planogram readiness
- Translate the online assortment and brand proposition into an effective physical-store experience
- Establish and improve merchandising processes, standards, tools, and ways of working




- Prepare regular merchandising reports and turn data into clear, actionable insights
- Work closely with Supply Chain, Category, Retail Operations, Marketing, and global stakeholders
- Identify merchandising and inventory risks early, proactively recommend solutions, and drive follow-through

You have

- 6+ years of experience in retail merchandising, replenishment, inventory management, or a related field
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn sales and inventory data into actionable recommendations
- Experience in a fast-paced retail environment; furniture or home garden retail experience is a strong advantage
- Hands-on experience with merchandising, replenishment, planograms, and/or space optimization
- Experience setting up or improving merchandising processes, tools, or ways of working
- Strong commercial mindset with an understanding of sales, availability, inventory, and space productivity
- Ability to make structured, commercially sound decisions with incomplete or evolving data
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including the ability to work effectively without formal authority
- High attention to detail combined with strong execution and follow-through
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a new workplace where priorities, processes, and assumptions may change
- A proactive, hands-on mindset and the ability to take ownership from analysis through to implementation
