Job Descriptions A South Indian Chef is responsible to prepares authentic regional dishes like dosas, idlis, sambar, rasam, and regional curries while maintaining strict kitchen hygiene and food quality standards.

Job Overview

- Role: South Indian Chef / Cook
- Industry: Hospitality, Hotels, Restaurants, or Cafés
- Core Goal: Deliver authentic taste, consistent quality, and timely food preparation.

Key Responsibilities
- Food Preparation: Cook traditional South Indian breakfast and meal items (dosas, idlis, vadas, pongal, uttapam, biryanis, and various chutneys).
- Recipe &
- Spice Mastery: Maintain deep knowledge of traditional spice blends, curry bases, and regional flavor profiles (such as Udupi, Chettinad,



or Kerala styles).
- Kitchen Management: Supervise junior kitchen staff, commis chefs, and helpers.
- Inventory Control: Monitor spice and ingredient stock levels, ensure freshness, and minimize food wastage.
- Hygiene &
- Safety: Follow food safety, sanitation, and clean workspace guidelines.

Requirements &

- Qualifications

- Experience: 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a South Indian kitchen setting.
- Skills: Strong expertise in high-volume cooking, batter preparation (idli/dosa), and authentic flavor balancing.
- Education: Culinary school certification or specialized training in South Indian cuisine is a plus.
