About the Role:

The Sourcing Executive will be responsible for identifying, developing, negotiating with, and managing suppliers for raw materials, components, packaging, and finished/assembled goods.

The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to vendor sourcing, cost negotiation, BOM-based procurement, supplier development, and manufacturing, preferably in toys, consumer products, plastics, electronics, packaging, or similar industries.

This is a highly execution-oriented role that requires someone who can work closely with Design, Product Development, Quality, Production, Planning, and Finance teams to ensure materials are sourced at the right cost, quality, and timeline.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supplier Sourcing & Development

- Identify and onboard new suppliers for plastics, electronics, mechanical components, packaging, printing, fabrics, toys, and other product requirements.
- Develop a reliable supplier base for both PlayShifu and contract manufacturing projects.
- Conduct supplier evaluations based on capability, quality, capacity, pricing, lead time, and compliance.
- Develop alternate suppliers for critical materials and components to reduce supply risk.
- Maintain a structured database of approved and potential suppliers.

2. Costing & Commercial Negotiation
- Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, MOQ, payment terms, tooling costs, lead times, and other commercial terms.
- Prepare detailed cost comparisons and support product costing activities.
- Work with the product and manufacturing teams to identify cost-reduction opportunities.
- Track commodity and material price movements and their impact on product costs.

3. BOM & Material Sourcing
- Understand product BOMs and translate them into sourcing requirements.
- Source raw materials, components, packaging materials, and finished goods based on specifications.
- Coordinate with suppliers for samples, prototypes, pilot quantities,



and production quantities.
- Ensure materials are available as per production requirements and agreed timelines.
- Monitor supplier lead times and proactively highlight potential delays.

4. Supplier & Production Coordination
- Work closely with suppliers, production teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of purchase requirements.
- Follow up on open purchase orders and material deliveries.
- Resolve supplier-related issues related to quality, quantity, delivery, and commercial terms.
- Coordinate with Quality and Production teams during new product development and mass production.
- Support timely ramp-up of new products.

5. New Product Development
- Work with the Product Development/Design team from the early stages of product development.
- Identify suitable suppliers and manufacturing processes for new products.
- Support RFQ, sample development, tooling, trial production, and production approval.
- Evaluate supplier feasibility against product specifications and target costs.
- Help convert prototypes into scalable, cost-effective production.

6. Quality & Compliance
- Work with the Quality team to ensure suppliers meet required product specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate corrective actions with suppliers when quality issues arise.
- Ensure suppliers comply with applicable product, packaging, safety, and customer requirements.
- Support documentation required for customer and internal audits.

7. Contract Manufacturing – Target / Bubble




- Coordinate sourcing activities for contract manufacturing programs.
- Understand customer-specific BOMs, specifications, packaging requirements, and delivery schedules.
- Work with suppliers to achieve agreed target costs and production timelines.
- Ensure sourcing plans support customer production schedules and commitments.
- Maintain clear documentation and communication for customer-specific sourcing requirements.

What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for someone who is hands-on, commercially sharp, and highly execution-oriented.

The person should be comfortable going beyond simply raising purchase orders—finding the right supplier, negotiating the right price, solving problems, following up on production, and ensuring materials reach the factory on time.

Experience working with factories and suppliers in and around Bengaluru, Chennai, Hosur, Hyderabad, Noida, Delhi/NCR, or other Indian manufacturing clusters would be an advantage.
