We are looking for a SolarWinds NCM Engineer responsible for administration, monitoring, configuration management, automation, and troubleshooting of SolarWinds Network Configuration Manager in an enterprise network environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, configure, administer, and maintain SolarWinds NCM.
- Manage network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network nodes.
- Configure and monitor automated configuration backups and restores.
- Perform configuration change management and maintain configuration baselines.
- Monitor unauthorized or unexpected configuration changes and generate alerts.
- Create and execute NCM jobs, scripts, and configuration change templates across multiple devices.
- Manage multi-vendor network environments such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.
- Perform configuration comparison, troubleshooting, rollback, and recovery.
- Maintain network inventory and device configuration archives.
- Support network compliance audits, policy checks, and remediation activities.
- Generate configuration, inventory, compliance,



and change-management reports.
- Troubleshoot SolarWinds NCM connectivity, polling, backup, and configuration issues.
- Work with network teams during device onboarding, upgrades, migrations, and configuration changes.
- Maintain documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures.

Required Skills:

- Strong hands-on experience with SolarWinds NCM.
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco/Juniper network devices.
- Experience with SNMP, SSH, Telnet, Syslog and network device monitoring.
- Experience in configuration backup, restore, change detection, and configuration comparison.
- Knowledge of network automation and scripting.
- Understanding of network security and configuration compliance.
- Good troubleshooting and incident-management skills.

Positive to Have:

- SolarWinds NPM / Orion / SolarWinds Platform experience.
- Knowledge of Python, PowerShell, or scripting.
- Experience with firewall configuration management.
- Knowledge of ITIL/change-management processes.
- SolarWinds certification or relevant network certification such as CCNA/CCNP.
