Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Tester to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating and testing software applications to ensure they meet the required standards of quality, performance, and usability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various software applications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on design and usability.
- Conduct performance testing to ensure applications meet performance standards.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
- Maintain and update testing documentation as required.
- Participate in code reviews and provide quality assurance recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Software Tester or similar role.
- Familiarity with software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Experience with automated testing tools is a plus (e.g., Selenium, JUnit).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Understanding of database testing and SQL.
