As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves leading the design, development, and configuration of custom software applications. We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Developer (8–10 years) with strong hands on expertise in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, performance tuning, and core RDBMS concepts. The candidate should have a solid understanding of database architecture, indexing strategies, query optimization, and data modelling.

Must be able to take end to end ownership of requirements, design technical solutions, and drive development independently when needed. This role requires taking ownership of the project lifecycle, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring that the application meets the specified requirements. The individual acts as the main liaison for the project, guiding the team through technical challenges and aligning efforts to deliver high-quality solutions.

The position demands proactive problem-solving and continuous collaboration to drive the project forward efficiently and effectively.

- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.

- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment.
- Continuously evaluate and improve development processes to enhance team productivity and product quality.
- Should be comfortable analyzing existing code, troubleshooting production issues, and recommending scalable fixes.
- Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams, communicate clearly, and proactively manage deliverables is required.
- Should be capable of working with minimal supervision and providing technical leadership within the domain.

Professional & Technical Skills:

- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Procedural Language Extensions to SQL (PLSQL).
- Experience working with packages, procedures, triggers, materialized views, and complex DML logic is essential.
- Exposure to performance tuning, bulk operations, and analyzing execution plans will be a strong advantage.
- Robust experience in writing complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers using Oracle PLSQL.
- Ability to optimize database performance through efficient coding and query tuning.
- Familiarity with database design principles and data modeling techniques.
- Experience in debugging and troubleshooting database-related issues in a production environment.
- Knowledge of integrating PLSQL with other application components and services.
