About this role

OpenTrain is recruiting for a Software Engineering AI Code Evaluator to support AI training work focused on software engineering code evaluation. You will review AI-generated code, coding problems, reference solutions, and test cases, then provide explicit technical feedback that helps improve model performance on real-world software tasks.

What you will do

Evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, quality, design, architecture, debugging, and system design. Create challenging coding problems, reference solutions, and test cases. Review model reasoning and provide detailed technical feedback to improve model performance. Apply consistent, evidence-based judgment across repeated review tasks.

Required skills





At least one year of experience as a software engineer at a top technology company, including some experience within the past seven years. Strong understanding of system design, software architecture, debugging, algorithms, and data structures. An undergraduate degree from a top-ranked university is preferred.

You should be based in an English-speaking country and able to explain technical decisions clearly in writing. Contractors should be comfortable working independently on remote tasks and applying evaluation criteria consistently.

Schedule and compensation

This is a remote contractor opportunity for candidates based in an English-speaking country. Compensation is $245‑$280 per hour.
