About The Role We are currently seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer specializing in Ruby for a remote, full-time position. The successful candidate will join a forward-thinking team working on cutting-edge projects related to large language model (LLM) evaluation and repository validation.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of datasets and evaluation frameworks that address real-world software engineering challenges. The responsibilities involve analyzing open-source repositories, setting up reproducible testing environments, and collaborating with AI researchers to enhance LLM performance in coding tasks. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of professional experience in software engineering with strong proficiency in Ruby and Ruby on Rails.



They should demonstrate expertise with version control systems such as Git, containerization tools like Docker, and have experience setting up and managing software pipelines for reproducible testing.

A solid understanding of complex, real-world codebases is essential, along with the ability to run, modify, and troubleshoot code locally. Familiarity with Ruby testing frameworks such as RSpec and Minitest, as well as gem management via Bundler, is required.

Experience contributing to or evaluating open-source projects will be considered an advantage, reflecting a proactive and collaborative approach to software development.

Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and triaging GitHub issues across trending open-source libraries to identify suitable evaluation scenarios for LLM testing. You will set up and configure code repositories, including creating Docker containers and preparing environments to ensure reproducibility of tests.

Evaluating unit test coverage and assessing code quality metrics will be part of your routine to gauge baseline code health and robustness of test suites. You will modify and run Ruby codebases locally, measuring LLM performance in bug-fixing and code-completion tasks. Additionally,



collaboration with AI researchers will be vital in designing and selecting repositories and issues that present challenging cases for language models, thereby advancing the evaluation process.
