ROLE SUMMARY AND OVERVIEW The Software Engineer / Senior Software Engineer (SE/SSE) is responsible for developing and installing software solutions, as well as designing, implementing, and delivering high-quality software projects in JAVA, SQL / Oracle, J2EE, and other JAVA technologies. Operating within structured delivery cycles, the incumbent applies sound analytical thinking and technical skills to build modular components, troubleshoot system anomalies, and ensure that all Newgen quality processes are strictly followed.





This role demands a strong commitment to quality execution, absolute confidentiality, and a "First Time Right" delivery attitude. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Software Development & Design • Develop and install software solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming. • Design, implement, and deliver high-quality software projects in JAVA, SQL/Oracle, J2EE, and other JAVA technologies. • Participate at a detailed level in design, coding, code walkthroughs, peer code reviews, and maintenance of software modules. • Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferencing with users, studying system flows and data usage. QUALIFICATIONS AND CRITICAL COMPETENCIES Experience and Qualifications • BE/B Tech (CS/IT) Graduates preferably with 60% throughout with 2-4 years in software development across a wide variety of development projects. • Adequate programming skills and proficiency in JAVA, JSP, Servlets, EJB, SQL/Oracle, J2EE, and other JAVA technologies. • Knowledge of current technological trends such as OOPs, Multi-Tier development, Component Architecture, and Web Based Software. • Strong knowledge of system integration issues and the ability to gather/analyze data to draw logical conclusions. • Willing to travel in India/abroad at short notice and work in overlapping shifts or at customer locations.



Educational Background • B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science (CS) or Information Technology (IT) or an equivalent degree from a reputed institute.
