Role Description The Software Engineer Intern role is a remote internship position focused on supporting the development and enhancement of Zenlynx’s AI-driven sustainability platform. The intern will collaborate with engineering teams to design, implement, test, and maintain back-end services and APIs that power data integration, analytics, and workflow automation.

Day-to-day tasks may include writing clean and efficient code, debugging and resolving issues, participating in code reviews, and contributing to technical documentation.



The role also involves learning and applying best practices in software development, working with modern tools and frameworks, and supporting the delivery of reliable and scalable features for enterprise customers. The intern will be expected to work closely with mentors, proactively seek feedback, and continuously build technical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

- Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar).
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and ability to apply them in designing and implementing maintainable code.
- Exposure to Back-End Web Development, such as building APIs, working with databases, or using server-side frameworks.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Ability to learn quickly, work independently in a remote environment, and collaborate effectively within a distributed team.
- Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) and basic software development workflows; experience with cloud platforms or AI/ML tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interest in sustainability, ESG, or climate technology.
