Overview

We at MISSAN are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Software & DMS Support Intern to join our Chennai team. This internship provides hands-on exposure to supporting software applications, understanding client business processes, troubleshooting application issues, and assisting with software testing and Document Management System (DMS) activities. The ideal candidate should be interested in software development, application support, and real-world business processes, with good communication skills and a willingness to learn.

This is an on-site internship position based at our office in Guindy, Chennai, working closely with the development and support teams on live client applications.

Key Responsibilities

Application Support

- Provide support for software applications and assist in troubleshooting issues.
- Understand client business processes and requirements and relate them to application functionality.
- Work with the development team to analyse and resolve application issues.
- Assist in identifying application improvements based on client and business requirements.

DMS Support

- Support Document Management System (DMS) activities such as document management, indexing, metadata, workflows, and user-related issues.
- Assist users with DMS-related queries and access issues.

Testing & Documentation

- Assist with software testing and issue verification whenever required.
- Document issues, solutions, and testing results.

Collaboration & Learning

- Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients when required.
- Work with Python-based applications and gain exposure to FastAPI and Django.
- Gain exposure to enterprise applications and DMS technologies.




- Receive mentorship from experienced developers and support professionals.

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Background

- Currently enrolled as a final year student or a recent graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum age: 18 years old.
- Good academic standing at current educational institution.

Technical Skills

- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python.
- Knowledge of FastAPI and/or Django.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs, databases, and web applications.
- Basic understanding of software testing and debugging.

Good to Have

- Basic knowledge of Document Management Systems (DMS).
- Understanding of document indexing, metadata, and workflows.
- Basic SQL knowledge.
- Familiarity with APIs and system integrations.

Language Requirements

- English proficiency at an intermediate level or higher (B1-B2) is highly valued, with good verbal and written communication skills.

- Interest in software development, application support, and DMS.
