Software Development Engineer II (SDE-II) — Full-Stack xAverage Technologies builds AI voice-conversation platforms. We're a small, bootstrapped, early-stage engineering team based in Bengaluru.

We're looking for an SDE-II to help us build and own our core product, working closely with the founding team on the day-to-day technical work.

What you'll do:

- Design, build, and own full-stack features end-to-end — from architecture through deployment and debugging in production.
- Work with data layers — databases, schema, queries, performance.
- Integrate with the AI/LLM systems behind our product.
- SQA for your own code – own the responsibility of testing and integration of your own code.

What we're looking for:

- 03 – 05 years of hands-on full-stack experience, with real ownership of features in production.
- Strong fundamentals in TypeScript / JavaScript — comfortable across frontend (Next.js / React) and backend (Node.js / Python).
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar), query performance and optimizations.
- Comfortable working with AI / LLM APIs with understanding of memory management and Agentic AI,



or confident in picking that up quickly.

• Comfortable in a small team, startup culture, wearing more than one hat.

Good to have:

- Experience with implementing voice AI, speech pipelines, or real-time systems (WebRTC) is a genuine plus for what we're building.
- Hands-on working knowledge of Redis, Docker and Python.
- Prior experience at an early-stage startup.
