Job Title: Software Asset Management (SAM)

We are looking for a Software Asset Management (SAM) professional responsible for managing the organization's software assets throughout their lifecycle, ensuring effective utilization, compliance, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

- License Management: Track, manage, and maintain software licenses to ensure compliance with vendor licensing agreements.
- Software Discovery: Identify, track, and document all software assets deployed across the organization.
- Usage Monitoring: Monitor software usage and identify underutilized, unused, or overutilized licenses.
- Compliance Auditing: Conduct regular software license audits and ensure compliance with contractual and licensing requirements.
- Software Procurement: Coordinate software license procurement and renewals based on business requirements.
- Software Deployment: Manage and coordinate the deployment and installation of software applications for users.
- Software Retirement: Manage the retirement, removal, and decommissioning of software assets that are no longer required.
- Maintain accurate software inventory, license records, and compliance documentation.
- Work with IT, procurement, security,



and other stakeholders to ensure effective software asset management.
- Support license optimization and cost-saving initiatives by identifying unused or excess licenses.

Required Skills
- Hands-on experience in Software Asset Management (SAM).
- Good understanding of software licensing models and license compliance.
- Experience in software inventory, discovery, and license tracking.
- Knowledge of software audit and compliance processes.
- Understanding of software procurement, deployment, renewal, and retirement lifecycle.
- Good analytical and documentation skills.
- Robust communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Knowledge
- Experience with ServiceNow SAM / SAM Pro will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of major software vendors such as Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Adobe, VMware, etc., is preferred.
- Understanding of IT Asset Management (ITAM) and ITIL processes will be an added advantage.
