Job Objective To provide effective Social Science education and develop students’ understanding of history, geography, civics, economics and society through engaging and activity-based teaching methods.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver effective Social Science lessons according to the prescribed curriculum.
- Teach History, Geography, Civics, Economics and other prescribed Social Science topics.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, question papers and study materials.
- Complete the prescribed syllabus within the academic schedule.
- Conduct regular class tests, assessments, examinations and revision sessions.
- Evaluate students’ written work and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify students who require additional academic support and conduct remedial classes.
- Use maps, charts, models, videos, presentations and other teaching aids to make lessons interesting.
- Encourage students to develop critical thinking, observation, discussion and analytical skills.
- Organise activities such as quizzes, debates, map work, projects and presentations.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, academic performance and student progress.
- Communicate students’ academic progress and concerns to parents when required.
- Participate actively in school functions, competitions,



educational activities and co-curricular programmes.
- Keep students informed about important historical, geographical, social and civic concepts relevant to their studies.
- Use appropriate digital tools and educational resources to enhance classroom learning.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and the school administration.
- Attend staff meetings, training programmes and other duties assigned by the Principal/Management.
- Maintain skilled conduct and follow all school rules, policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Social Science / History / Geography / Political Science / Economics or a relevant subject.
- B.Ed. or relevant teaching qualification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Social Science concepts and the prescribed curriculum.
- Good communication and classroom management skills.
- Basic computer and digital teaching skills.
- Previous teaching experience will be an advantage.
