Role Description This is a full-time, in office Social Worker role based in Balod.

The Social

Worker will support patients and families by assessing psychosocial needs, providing counseling, and facilitating access to health, social, and financial support services. Daily tasks include conducting interviews, maintaining case records, coordinating with medical staff, and connecting individuals to community resources and government programs. The role also involves organizing awareness activities, advocating for patient rights, and following ethical and confidentiality standards.

The Social

Worker will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve overall patient well-being and community health outcomes.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in client assessment, counseling, and case management,



with the ability to support individuals and families facing health and social challenges.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, community organizations, and government agencies to coordinate services and referrals.
- Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with diverse populations in a culturally sensitive manner.
- Organizational and documentation skills, including maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and handling confidential information responsibly.
- Knowledge of local community resources, public health programs, and social welfare schemes relevant to Balod and surrounding areas.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field; a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) is an advantage.
- Prior experience in healthcare, hospital, or community-based social work is preferred, especially in rural or semi-urban settings.
- Ability to work on-site full time, with flexibility to conduct community visits and outreach as required.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting; knowledge of local languages and Hindi is highly beneficial.
