Role Description The Social Media Manager internship is a remote role responsible for supporting the Foundation’s online presence and community engagement. Day-to-day tasks include planning and scheduling posts across social platforms, optimizing content for reach and engagement, and maintaining a consistent brand voice. The role involves monitoring social media channels, responding to comments and messages, and gathering insights from analytics to refine social media strategies.





The intern will collaborate with program teams to create content that highlights initiatives, events, and impact stories, and may assist with campaign planning, basic graphic coordination, and reporting on performance metrics. This internship offers exposure to mission-driven digital communication and the prospect to contribute to social impact initiatives.

Qualifications

- Ability to manage Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO) activities across major platforms.
- Strong Communication and Writing skills for crafting clear, engaging, and inclusive content.
- Experience or interest in developing Content Strategy for awareness campaigns and community engagement.
- Basic understanding of social media analytics tools and platform insights.
- Attention to detail, time management, and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Interest in non-profit work, sustainable development, and community initiatives.
- Relevant coursework or prior internship experience in marketing, communications, media, or related fields is beneficial.
