Mistiful is the consumer brand of Phantomleaf Pvt. Ltd. We are an online plant store focused on bringing nature into modern life, offering indoor potted plants for homes, offices and creative spaces.
We are looking for someone to join us as a Social Media & Content Creation Intern, helping us build Mistiful’s presence across Instagram and YouTube Shorts.
This is a hands-on role. You’ll be involved in coming up with ideas, creating content and seeing how those ideas perform.
What you’ll be doing
Most of your work will focus on creating short-form content for Mistiful’s social media channels. Your day-to-day work may include:
- Coming up with creative ideas for Reels and Youtube Shorts
- Developing short scripts, hooks and captions
- Turning our plant footage and product images into engaging videos.
- We require someone whose capable of posting influencer style videos.
- Editing and putting together videos using video editing tools
- Finding relevant sounds, trends and formats that fit the Mistiful brand
- Experimenting with voiceovers, humour and different styles of presentation
- Testing different ideas and formats to see what resonates with our audience
- Reviewing content performance and using what you learn to improve future posts
- Contributing ideas to the wider direction of Mistiful’s social media
We will provide the footage you need, including plant videos, B-roll and product photos. You won’t need to own a camera or any expensive equipment.
What we’re really looking for is someone who has good ideas,
a good eye and a good sense of humour.
Who we’re looking for
You don’t need previous professional experience.
This could be a good fit if you:
- Already spend time on Instagram or YouTube Shorts
- Have a positive understanding of what makes short-form content work
- Enjoy coming up with ideas and writing
- Have some basic editing experience
- Have a good eye for clean, simple visuals
- Appreciate dry or deadpan humour
- Are comfortable recording a voiceover on your phone
- Are willing to experiment and learn
Personal projects and content you’ve made for yourself count. We’re interested in seeing what you can actually create, rather than just looking at your previous job experience.
How the internship works The internship is intended to develop into a longer-term opportunity.
First 3 months - Trainee Internship
You’ll spend the first three months getting to know Mistiful, creating content and working with the team. This gives both sides an opportunity to see how we work together.
Following 6 months - Paid Internship
Based on performance and agreed content and engagement targets, there will be an opportunity to move into a six-month paid internship with greater responsibility.
Longer term - Full-Time Opportunity For someone who performs well and takes ownership of the role, there is a pathway towards a full-time Creative / Social Media Lead position as the company grows.
