About the Role

We're building the optical highway to the cosmos.

QOSMIC builds advanced laser communication systems that replace traditional radio frequencies, delivering faster, more secure data transfer for LEO constellations, defense networks, and deep-space missions. We are incubated at ARTPARK/IISc and backed by top-tier investors including Accel, Prosus, and South Park Commons.

We are looking for a highly proactive Social Media Intern to take extreme ownership of our digital presence and streamline our external communications. Your primary battlefield will be X (formerly Twitter), where you will be responsible for shaping QOSMIC’s voice, engaging with the global space-tech and VC ecosystems, and translating our complex deep-tech engineering milestones into high-impact, engaging content. We need someone who lives on the timeline and knows how to build hype around hard tech.

Responsibilities

● Take end-to-end ownership of QOSMIC’s social media channels, with a heavy emphasis on growing our presence and engagement on X and LinkedIn.

● Streamline and organize our current social media processes, building and executing a consistent, high-quality content calendar from scratch.

● Translate complex optical engineering and space-tech milestones into engaging threads, bite-sized updates, and compelling visual content.

● Actively engage with the aerospace, deep-tech, and venture capital communities on X-jumping into relevant conversations, building relationships, and amplifying our brand footprint.

● Monitor industry trends,



rocket launches, regulatory updates, and competitor activities to ensure QOSMIC’s content remains timely, relevant, and culturally tuned-in.

Requirements

● Extremely online and native to X; you understand the platform's culture, how to write strong hooks, format readable threads, and drive engagement in the replies.

● Graphic design or video editing skills (Figma, Canva, CapCut, Premiere) to create quick visual assets.

● Exceptional copywriting skills with the ability to distill highly technical concepts into sharp, accessible, and exciting narratives.

● High-agency, "figure-it-out" mindset; you don't wait to be told what to post, you proactively hunt down stories from our engineering team and turn them into content.

● Robust organizational skills to bring order to our current social media efforts and maintain a consistent posting cadence.

Nice-to-Have

● A genuine geeky passion for space exploration, satellites, or aerospace engineering.

● Previous experience managing social media for a tech startup, student engineering team, or a technical founder.
